The Simulator Maintenance Technician II provides operations, maintenance, upkeep, and modifications support under the Integrated Maintenance, Operations and Modification Support (IMOMS) program. This role includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs) and support equipment, including troubleshooting, component replacement, and high-voltage system work. The technician collaborates with engineering staff on modification activities, supports simulation certification testing, and maintains detailed maintenance documentation.
What you'll do
- Provides Aircrew Training Device (ATD) student and instructor support.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on training devices and support equipment, including on- and off-equipment troubleshooting and fault isolation.
- Adjusts, removes, and replaces assemblies and components to correct identified discrepancies.
- Performs maintenance on state-of-the-art equipment containing energized voltages in excess of 3,000 volts.
- Collaborates and supports engineering staff with modification activities to training devices.
- Performs training device modifications as directed by engineering staff.
- Kits-proofs and installs modification kits.
- Prepares computerized maintenance action reports and other support documentation.
- Supports Simulation Certification (SIMCERT) and trainer testing activities.
- Assists Simulator Maintenance Technician IIIs with collateral duties including supply, inventory control, and administrative procedures.
- Complies with established Company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Travels as required.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and training device operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems on complex equipment.
- Proficiency with hand tools and test equipment.
- Experience with high-voltage systems and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license.
