Systems Engineer (Maritime)

We are seeking a Maritime Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of bridge systems for naval vessel simulations. You will work on communications, navigation, radar, steering, and other maritime subsystems, applying systems engineering principles to design, develop, code, integrate, and test complex technical solutions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and Government representatives in a dynamic aerospace and defense environment.

What you'll do

- Develop and maintain simulation code on Linux and Windows systems for maritime bridge systems and subsystems. - Review and prepare engineering and technical analysis, reports, design reviews, and technical documentation. - Perform systems integration, design, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and resource management activities. - Collaborate with engineering teams on assigned projects to develop engineering procedures, controls, and problem resolution. - Interface with other engineers, system contractors, vendors, and Government representatives on technical aspects of programs and projects. - Communicate ongoing activities and results to engineers, customers, stakeholders, and management. - Follow established company and industry processes and procedures.

What you bring

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Proficiency in C, C++, or C# programming languages. - Competency in a scripting environment such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Competency in a version control system such as Git or SVN. - Strong technical understanding with at least one area of specialization in systems engineering or related disciplines. - Experience developing software on both Linux and Windows systems. - Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team and communicate technical information clearly.
